Selected reaction monitoring

Data acquired from one or more specific product ions corresponding to m/z selected precursor ions recorded via two or more stages of mass spectrometry rather than the entire mass spectrum. Selected reaction monitoring can be performed as tandem mass spectrometry in time or tandem mass spectrometry in space.

Selected reaction monitoring

The acquisition of data in tandem mass spectrometry data in which a precursor ion of a particular m/z is selected in the first stage of mass spectrometry and a particular fragmentation product from that precursor is selected in the second stage.
