DRAFT DEFINITION
MSn

A generic term that should be discouraged. It does not explain which type of MS/MS data is being discussed. A scan specific term should always be used, e.g. product ion spectrum or second generation product ion spectrum.

Considered between 2004 and 2006 but not included in the 2006 PAC submission
This is an unofficial draft definition presented for information and comment.
