Plasma desorption ionization

This term describes the ionization of material in a solid sample by bombarding it with heavy particles (ions or neutral atoms) formed as a result of the fission of a suitable nuclide adjacent to a target supporting the sample.

Considered between 2004 and 2006 but not included in the 2006 PAC submission
